Reflexology
Reflexology dates back to Ancient Egypt, India and China and it wasn't until 1913 when it was introduced to the west by Dr William Fitzgerald. He noted that each of the reflex points on the hands and feet were linked to other organs on the body. Later in the 1930's it was developed further by Eunice Ingham into what we know today as Reflexology.
Reflexology is used to help restore & maintain the body's natural equilibrium. Reflexology is suitable for all ages and brings relief for a wide range of conditions including back pain, migraine, arthritis, hormonal imbalances and sleep disorders, amongst many others.
Many people now use Reflexology as a way of relaxing the mind & body by counteracting stress. An increasing amount of doctors, consultants and other health care professionals now also see Reflexology as a well established and respected therapy.
Upon receiving the treatment most people note a sense of well being and relaxation and others feel lethargic, nauseous or tearful but this is purely transitional and all part of the healing process.
